Pillow Fite

Pillow Fite is made up of Art Ross (they/them/Pisces) and Aaron Green (he/him/Virgo). They offer their respective gifts of reflection and melody to create moody, slow-burning indie-folk aimed straight at the heart. With the release of their full-length album, Hard Feelings, Soft Promises (2024), paired with extensive touring in Canada, the UK, Europe, and the US, the duo is garnering fans, critical acclaim, and awards.  They have been steadily carving out their place in Canada’s indie scene with a string of CBC Top 20 hits, with the single, “Laundromats,” reaching the #5 spot. They were awarded Music Nova Scotia’s Pop Recording of the Year in 2025.  Pillow Fite's sound is the result of a gently but perpetually evolving creative partnership, a mash-up of genres that arrives at something as singular as it is queer. The band is currently finishing production on their next album, due out in fall 2026. Art participated in Folk Harbour’s Songwriters’ Camp in 2024 and appeared with Aaron as Pillow Fite at the 2024 Festival and in our 2023 and 2025 concert series.
